silence

as i thought what i was to write today, i flipped though a newspaper to spark my interest or idea. i searched though 40 pages of a USA Today (section D was lost by the way) containing everything from politics (go McCain / Palin YOU BETCHA!!) to the rained out game 5 of the world series (go Tampa). and to my suprise not one article or blurb caught my eye. i was caught in a bind and then discussed with God what i should write about... converstaion went as such...

"God?"
"Yeah?"
"What should i write about? My hand is Yours."
".........."
"I gotcha."

simply put; i couldnt have phrased it better myself. in a complete silent and euphoric answer i heard crickets. God has given me my answer

sometimes with God's ever wondering love, His answer is screaming in front of you, even if it silence. we all forget sometimes God just wants you to be quiet and patient. its hard because all you wanna do is hear his voice. sometimes silence is the best way to listen.

i look at God's silence like my parents lecturing me on something stupid i did. everytime they tried to talk to me they were interrupted by my cunning and wittingly way to say "let me explain." however i was caught off guard like Evander Holyfield getting his ear bit off by Mike Tyson, (he really needs some help by the way) with my parents telling me "shhh... its my our turn to talk." (once again giving me wisdom)

even in the absence of prayer and faith, God's silence speaks to you. you just have to listen to the silence and your heart beat.

on a lighter note and more funny state God also showed me how funny he is. as i was sitting in silence at work watching grown men pass by, belch, use profane language, and eat the last cheese danish it had occured to me that not only did God want me to listen he didnt want me to sleep either. as "Bob" we'll call him passed by with the last delicious danish, i realized Bob had also realeased Seren gas. Yes he "drive by farted" or "crop dusted" me. wether or not this was God i heard him laughing which is all i needed for today.

even in a silent state, God still wants you to laugh... its ok...you dont have to be serious all the time. God does have a sense of humor. He gives me the giggles all the time.
